When working with landowners and the community in general, privacy is important. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner offers 10+ free e-Learning modules related to the Privacy Act 2020. These modules are a great way to start learning about privacy. 

Some modules will take you less than an hour to complete, and they cover the basic principles of each topic. If you just want to learn general privacy knowledge, or you don’t know where to start, we recommend starting with an ABC module. 

The Privacy 101 module is great for people wanting to take their privacy knowledge one step further. You will learn about the information privacy principles, consequences for breaching the Privacy Act, the privacy complaint process, and other important concepts in the Privacy Act. There are four review quizzes in the module as well as a pre- and post-module quiz to see how your knowledge has improved. They’ll show you the answers to help you learn from your mistakes as you go.

Useful for: people new to privacy,  catchment leaders, catchment coordinators, employers.
